The 30-second fit test
- They hold it with both hands, out in front, without readjusting their grip.
- They dribble it ten times under control, eyes up.
- They raise it into shooting position with one hand guiding, not two hands pushing.
If step three fails, it’s too big for them right now, whatever the box says. And recreational and school leagues may set their own ball size — it’s worth confirming with the coach or organiser first.

Questions.
Answered.
Does it auto-renew?
Any future subscription is a separate opt-in. Your included term does not auto-renew.
What is the difference between $188 and $88?
The ball is identical. The difference is the length of the prepaid YP Academy term — three years at $188, or one year at $88. Three separate one-year terms would cost $264, so the three-year term is $76 less. The three-year term is also the only one that carries a Founding number.
What is a Founding number?
The first thousand three-year orders are numbered, 1 to 1000, in the order they are placed. Your number is assigned at checkout. It belongs to the order, not to the ball. When all thousand are claimed the three-year offer closes and the one-year offer continues at $88 — the counter on this page reads real inventory, so it only moves when an order is actually placed.
Which size should I pick for my 13-year-old?
Size 6 or size 7. Pick the ball they train with now. If their league or coach specifies a size, use that. When in doubt, stay down a size — and run the 30-second fit test above.
What exactly comes with the price?
One NeoBall in the size you choose, plus one prepaid term of YP Academy — thirty-six months at $188, twelve months at $88. One payment. Shipping is free. Nothing else to pay.
What if we don’t like it?
We refund 100% of the purchase price, no questions asked, for 30 days from the day YP Academy is activated — email help@youthperformance.com and we’ll process it. Separately, before the order ships you can cancel for a full refund at any time.
When does it ship, and what does shipping cost?
Shipping is free. Estimated shipping is 2–4 weeks.
What happens when the term ends?
Nothing is charged. The account moves to the free tier of YP Academy, so the profile and history are not lost, and continuing on a paid plan is an opt-in you make at the time. The ball is yours permanently either way.
What is NeoBall actually for?
It is designed for quieter indoor skill work and daily touches between practices — the reps that happen at home, not at team practice.
Does buying create an account for my child?
No. Checkout grants the selected entitlement. Guardian onboarding is a separate step, handled by an adult after purchase.
Can I buy this as a gift?
Yes. Guardian onboarding is separate from checkout, so the adult in the receiving household completes it. Order early — estimated shipping is 2–4 weeks.
Is there a version for a whole team?
Multi-ball orders for teams and programs are handled directly — email help@youthperformance.com and we’ll sort it.
What happens to the ball after the term?
Nothing. The ball is yours permanently. Only the included app access has a term.
How quiet is it, exactly?
Acoustic testing is in progress. When it is complete this page will publish the measurement and the method used to take it — surface, microphone distance, weighting and dribble cadence — rather than a number with no method behind it.
What are the specifications?
Circumference, weight, cover material and recommended surfaces are being confirmed and will be published here in full, including what the ball is not built for.
